I watched the film Fallen Angels in possibly Mandarin or Japanese. Set in Hong Kong I’d read about its off camera angles, unfocussed dialogue and blurred camera work – things in the background were suddenly in the foreground, etc. I took the soundtrack and multi-layered it, dropping in and out in the style of the film and made two pieces of music, pressed it up on ten-inch vinyl.
